I’ve always been a fan of Rob Machado - as a surfer and as an individual, doing what he’s passionate about and creating change in the world.

While surf movies typically have a lame history at the box office, I’m excited to see this and I hope they capture his story well.

At the very least, there should be some awesome surfing.

Holy f!  This is really incredible when you think about all the elements involved - the wave dynamics, the wind direction/speed, the board, and most importantly the surfer.  Just amazing.

Doing this trick is similar to running a sub 4 minute mile…nobody could do it for the longest time, but now that someone has done it, I’m sure you’ll start to see it quite a bit.

Either way, it’s F’n amazing (Kelly Slater has been trying this and I don’t think he’s pulled it yet) and congrats to Jordy Smith for pulling it off.
