Not Not Nervous by Get Him Eat Him
I ran into a college classmate/Get Him Eat Him frontman Matt Lemay recently and was:
1. sad to hear that his band is no longer but
2. happy to hear that he’s working at bit.ly and
3. now psyched he’ll be on the free NextNY panel on startup metrics that’s on Wednesday night.
So, listen to the song (it’s still a favorite of mine), use bit.ly for every, link, ever, and come learn how to make metrics work for you.
haha… if you know Henry, you know this is hilarious.
Not sure what this song means, but I like it. Good working music!

So, this song is pure awesome - what else would you expect from New Zealand? - and the video is awesome as well.
Hat tip to Matt for sharing the vid in the first place.

Winter Winds by Mumford & Sons
November 1, below 30F this AM in New England and the clocks turn back in a week. Whether I’m ready to admit it or not, Bijan’s right, winter is here.
So here’s a bittersweet, cold-weather tune to warm you up…

HUSTLE by @MURS
I’m the last man standing at our borrowed (read: free) office yet again and I just heard this song (which I love) while noticing this blog post about a company getting funded on a hustle-play (which I really love).***
To put it plainly, I’ve never been the fastest athlete on the field or the smartest guy in the room. I learned to hustle as a kid and it’s gotten me everywhere.
There’s a lot of chatter about hustle in the startup world, but only you know if you’re really working hard.
Be a hustler.
*** - I love it because it reminds me of the time I went running with Brad Feld at 6AM, AFTER a night of bar-tending, just to meet him or the time I took the train to JFK with Bryce Roberts, again, just to meet him… H-U-S-T-L-E, HUSTLER. DO IT. DO IT NOW.
P.S. - I’m also going to just write the name Ryan Graves here, because that dude hustles like hell, too.

California Sunrise by Dirty Gold
Put this on and cruise up the Pacific Coast Highway (in your mind, anyway). Awesome track that I heard from music-bro Head Underwater. Thanks dude!
p.s. - download for $FREE.99 here.
p.p.s. - the video featuring vintage surf film is too cool to not include it.

Never heard of ‘em before? Me neither until recently. Awesome post-punk made by two Brooklynites with homemade instruments.
